Thailand is one of the biggest countries in South-East Asia. There are about 60 million people in Thailand. The people of Thailand —— the Thais —— speak Thai. It is their language.
泰国是是东南亚最大的国家之一，大约有6000万人口。泰国人讲泰语，泰语是他们的母语。
Thailand is not the same as other South-East Asian countries. At one time Burma and Malaysia were British colonies, Vietnam was a French colony and Indonesia was a Dutch colony. Thailand has never been a colony of another country.
泰国跟其他东南亚国家不同。曾经有一段时期，缅甸和马来西亚是英国的殖民地，越南是法国的殖民地，印度尼西亚是荷兰的殖民地，而泰国从来不是任何国家的殖民地。
Thailand is a very beautiful country, and many people from other countries go there. They like to have holidays there. They like Thai people and they like Thai food. They like to eat Thai food in their own countries too, so there are many Thai restaurants in other countries.
泰国是一个非常美丽的国度，其他国家的许多人都到泰国来，他们喜欢在泰国度假，喜欢泰国人，也喜欢吃泰国食物。他们在自己的国家也喜欢吃泰国食物，所以在其他国家也有许多泰国餐馆。
