前言：3月份把之前做的一篇工作转投到了computer journal，8月7号来信说我投稿的工作之前因为挂在arXiv上，因此和正常的投稿要求不太一致，需要更换投稿方式，编辑提供了两种选择如下。
The first choice is to keep your actual submission as it is in the system, but to upload a revised version where you will have reduced your overall similarity to less than 15%, excluding bibliography.
第一种选择：修改manuscript，把它和arXiv上那个版本的相似度降低到15%，难度太大，几乎相当于要重写，遂放弃。
The second choice is to withdraw this submission and start again with a new submission.
However:
- Firstly, the submission must be reported (in the cover letter for example) as a pre-print-sourced manuscript at the initial submission stage to the Computer Journal with a link provided to the pre-print source, as well as in the manuscript, and the new submission to the Computer Journal must be ~90% similar in content to that single pre-print manuscript, excluding bibliography.
- Secondly, the list of authors on the new submission to the Computer Journal must be identical to that on the pre-print manuscript.
- Thirdly, the authors must include a list of changes made to the new submission to the Computer Journal that account for the 10% difference, excluding bibliography, to the pre-print manuscript, which must be significant.
第二种选择：撤回当前投稿（没找到在哪里撤回，我直接没管），新开一个投稿，但是要满足以下条件：
1）在cover letter中说明当前投稿文章之前被挂到arXiv上，并给出arXiv对应文章的link；提交到computer journal的文章与arXiv版本的重复率要保持在90%左右（除参考文献）。
2）投稿的作者列表必须与arXiv版本的作者列表相同。
3）作者必须提供对投稿文章所做的一系列更改，以保证与arXiv版本的文章有约10%的差异（除参考文献），也就是投稿版本文章不能和预印本文章完全相同，还是要有一些更新的。这个编辑没说如何提交，于是我统一写到cover letter里面。
我选择的是第二种方式新开一个投稿流程，不知道这是不是意味着又一轮漫长的等待……
Thereafter, the journal does not allow authors to switch between a regular submission and a pre-print-sourced submission or vice-versa as the two types of submission are handled differently.
⚠️还有非常重要的一点是，编辑特别强调该期刊不允许作者在常规投稿和预印本投稿之间切换，反之亦然，因为这两种类型的投稿的处理方式不同。
后记：在此提醒各位：如果将 computer journal 作为意向期刊，尽量先不要把文章挂到arXiv上，否则需要考虑当前投稿版本和arXiv版本的重复率，还要补充额外说明。
