It will be embarrassing if users come to you for help with some bug and you say you don't know anything about them. As a system administrator, you need to know these existing bugs in advance and take some countermeasures.

I think these two options are good but not good enough. because how about if you want to keep track the change record with one page? So I wish to know weather it is possible to change [Overwrite the existing Page] to [Add a new version to the existing Page ]

The one on Confluence Dashboard is being sorted based on the date and time where the page is added to the Saved for later list (starred); newest to oldest.
Whilst, the one on the User's Profile page is being sorted based on the pages' pageID (contentid value in the CONTENT table).
