Under copper catalysis, it can undergo azide acetylene cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups, which is an efficient and highly selective chemical bonding reaction. M-PEG24-azide can also undergo strain promoted acetylene azide cycloaddition reactions (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups. This reaction can be carried out under copper free conditions and has excellent chemical selectivity and biocompatibility, making it have application prospects in fields such as biological imaging and tissue engineering.
